Group Services

The Centre offers a number of goal-focused group treatment services and early intervention services designed to meet a range of specific needs for parents and children. Goals differ for each specific group service.

In addition to specific group goals, children’s groups aim to improve children’s understanding of themselves and others, as well as to provide social interaction skills in a group setting.

Adult group services aim to improve parents’ understanding of themselves and their children, develop supportive relationships and networks and to reduce stress and isolation in the community.

Groups take place at the Centre or at various community locations. Some groups are run in collaboration with other community service providers.

Feedback is provided to parents at the end of all groups. The Centre also welcomes feedback from participants about their group experience so that future groups can be adapted to meet parents’ needs.
