Preschool Speech and Language Services

As part of the Toronto Preschool Speech and Language Services, this program offers the following services to children under the age of 5: assessment, consultation to parents and community-based children’s programs, parent training and information sessions; consultation and training for caregivers and other professionals; group and individual speech therapy; and referral to a wide range of child and family services in the community. This program works in partnership with Rouge Valley Health System (the lead agency), and with The Scarborough Hospital to jointly provide service to the City’s east quadrant.

The program strives to provide communication skill development to preschool children. The mission of the Toronto Preschool Speech and Language program is to provide exemplary identification and intervention services, responsive to cultural and linguistic diversity, in partnership with community agencies, to enable all preschool children in Toronto to reach their highest communication potential.
